the idiocy of human kind boggles me sometimes. utterly leaves me at a loss for words and, when times have become dire, occasionally lends me a vocabulary of great intellect that helps me express the extreme frustration that seethes in the most unholy depths of my soul. these elegant words weave through the poetic minds of the great and color the expressive imagination of the brilliant. it cuts through the jargon of the world and becomes a motto of conquerors. These words go something like this:

"stupid people are stupid."

so there i was, in the deepest nap of the summer;

BAM, door FLIES open, lights put on full blast.

"whaldfji??"

all i hear is, "sandals, sandals, where are my sandals?"

of course, it's beloved peter, desperately searching for, apparently; sandals. he flies out of the room, mutterig something about sandals.

the door is still wide open, the lights still on. slowly coming to my senses. slowing, the taste of tuna, peanut butter, and bread comes back into my mouth. not so pleasant.
i'm like, "ppeeettaaah.....

pppeeeeetah...

PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER

WAAAAAAAAAMPUS!!!!

FRIGGIN' A' PEEEEEEEEEETER!!!"

"what, liz? oh you were in here?" no friggin' kidding, i'm wrapped in a blanket on the bed, snoring and drooling. how could you miss me? i was like a beached whale.

"sorry liz." turns off the light, leaves the door open. if anyone has every slept in a the same room as me, i have this compulsion that, in order to sleep, the door has to be COMPLETELY shut. open doors bother me.

so i'm sitting, listening to watever nick is watching in the front room, just seething in the horrid place where i'm waking up, willing not too, but can't do anything about it. and my mouth tastes like bile. i can feel hunks of tuna in my teeth. i don't even remember eating tuna.

"PEEEEEEEEEEEEETER!!!"

"k, seeyah, guys. i'm  going to wahoos."

"PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETER!!!!"

"nick you want anything?"

"FIRRING' ALKSDJF;LAWIEFNPEEETER!!!"

"nah? ok, bye!" door shuts.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, FIRGGIN' ASLDKJFWO;AIEFLSKDFMA LKFJ WERJKSADF  PETER!!!!!!!"

which now brings us to right now. sitting in the dark. had to get up and shut the door. and now, i'm awake with laptop and groodie taste.

siblings suck.

WHO WANTS TO DO CREW WITH ME?

Somethings you might want to know about crew first:
1) it's a lot of upper body and leg work, it burns
2) depending on where you go, you'll either get wet or really wet in gross dirty harbor water
3) you have to do work outs on orgs daily for about 30 min, which sounds like nothing, but it is
4) You have to carry your boat to and from the water. and your oars.
5) you have to clean your boat when you are done
6) BOATS ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE. YOU CANNOT HURT THEM OR THEY WILL KILL YOU. I DON'T KID.

So there's two choices; Long Beach or Newport.

Long Beach is extremely laid back. They'll tell you how to row, but you've got to go out and do it yourself; no one's going to hold your hand. They start you off in singles and doubles, which are hard and newbies always tip over. So you'll get wet, I'll get wet, its a lot fun. There is also an actual dock invovled, so you don't have to lug the boat too far. And all the boats are old, so it doesn't matter if you bump the dock, drag an oar, so you can be a little careless, and they wont care. also, the only clean up you do is a rinse of the boat.

It's also only one week for $100 or two weeks for $185. Starts next Monday.
And, we'd probably do it in the morning. IE- 8:30-10:30; it'd be cold

Session Times:

Morning M-F 8:30 am to 10:30 am
Mid-day M-F 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Afternoon M-F 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
(Some sessions may be combined to optimize resources.)
Clothing: T-shirt, shorts (not too baggy), socks and sneakers. You can also bring flip-flops. A sweater or sweat-shirt is recommended for afternoon sessions. You should bring a towel and a change of clothing.

Newport:
It's a nazi camp, but you learn so much. This is where I really learned how to row. It has a very organized, team, actual sporty feel. They split you into teams of 8 [if you're new] and start you in long boats; one oar to a person, 8 to a boat. It's a lot easier, it's very slow and it's very guided. The first week is very intense; there's no dock, so you and 7 other people have to carry and very heavy, very long boat down a scorching hot beach [no shoes or socks] and gentle tip the boat from above your head to ankle deep water. It is very hard, then you have to lug oars too, which isn't fun. But, the second week everyone has the gist of things, so you row a LOT more and race and it's fun. it makes up for it. a few more cons; it's a LOT of snobby rich kids who are there because mommy and daddy dont want them at the mall anymore. and all the boats are brand SPANKING new, so you can so much as sneeze on them without someone freakin' out. dont even THINK of bumbing it or lowering it into the water too quickly [the sand might scratch the bottom]. and you have to srub the boat clean. the facility is gorgeous, though. you've probably seen it when you're turning onto PCH in the irvine area.

It's a two week camp for $225. morning from 9 -11am and the last one starts next monday.

Personally, i'd like to do LBJC cause it's cheaper and easier, but it's up to you guys. email me sometime before Saturday.

LOVE liz

k, i'm leaving early tomorrow and i thought i'd just do a little post like kara.

so far this has really been an amazing summer. i'm glad i got to see the guys @ mack's and i love the og <3

1- mel's was amazing, as usually.
2- disneyland has no words to describe it...wait, yes it does. crazy smiling moles.
3- mack's was hilarious fun, mo' fo'
4- i'm really glad we had dinner together. i don't think we'll all be here for the rest of the summer.

so i'm going to pepperdine tomorrow and i'll be home late friday night. i'll be in town this saturday, but i have to be in Fresno at 7am sunday morning; so that means i have to unpack, wash, repack and sleep all saturday. so unless it's really pressing, i'm can't do anything till i get back from girls state, the 8th.
